The creative brain behind OAZIA Architectural Design Studio is Veronika Blomgren, an interior designer with over 15 years of experience behind the belt. Her projects range from apartments to restaurants and hotels, some of which have been included into the annual collection of the best design projects worldwide by Andrew Martin International Design Review and featured in such titles as Elle Decor and Home & Garden. Named amongst the top 10 most outstanding women in arts in Russia by Vogue magazine, she has been a founder and lecturer at Details, one of the most reputable design schools in Moscow.
Veronica’s first Bali project, OAZIA Spa Villas Canggu built in 2009, within its first year of operation was named among the top 10 Holistic Retreats in Asia, received 7 nominations for Asia Spa Awards, the Oscars of Spa industry in the region, and won the prestigious Design of the Year 2010 Award by Asia Spa Magazine. Though being away from the hustle and bustle in a world of its own, OAZIA is taking a active part in the life of the local villages and the nearby Ubud, supporting schools, local artists, setting up educational projects for the children ( arts, languages, healing) and adults ( organic gardening, professional training). 5 % of the total income of OAZIA ventures is donated to carefully chosen or newly created by OAZIA community charity projects.
Moreover, in view of our location and given our desire to preserve the beautiful nature of the Island of the Gods, OAZIA does not have another choice but to be eco friendly, as self sustainable as possible, as “ back to nature” as possible. Alternative energy solutions are recommended to the owners, organic vegetables and fruits are grown on the premises. Even “Adam and Eve” naked bath rituals in the natural spring pools are on the spa menu.
